I need to know the range of serial numbers for each year the John Deere 855 was manufactured.Has the model 855 been a reliable tractor? My stepson is looking at one that has 1900 hours. This seems to me like a lot of hours on a compact tractor.Certainly would appreciate your input.Thanks.....Bill

Wow, J.D made this one complicated! I need to know if the tractor is 2wd, 4wd, and if it has factory hydraulic outlets to get the correct ser. # and year combo from the book. Ser. # is located on rear trans. case, below PTO shaft. If you can post the # and specs I can tell you what year it is. It would be a large task to reproduce the 31 different possibilities from the book. ....

Don: Thanks for your prompt reply. The tractor is a 4 wheel drive, however, I am not sure about the "factory hydraulic outlets". I'll try to find out and let you know ASAP. Regards....Bill ....
